JAZZMINE was founded by a young returnee French dessert chef. The owner is also a fan of jazz music while studying French desserts, and after discussions with the designer, she decided that the intention was to create a warm and slightly drunken vintage space with a dark background.
The store is only 30 square meters in size, and the layout of the interior has gone through many rounds of refinement and on-site adjustments, so that the small space is compact and efficient while retaining a sense of elegance and relaxation: half of the interior space is used for the back kitchen, laminating room, and dressing room, which are all rigorous in their work, and the front area can accommodate two tables for dine-in, in addition to the bar; the walls are used for displaying the owner’s collection of vinyl records and postcards.
Almost all of the store’s hard and soft furnishing materials are handmade products, metal and cement art texture paint, handmade bricks and wood that are repeatedly adjusted on site, to name a few. In addition, the owner’s girl handmade many lamps in the front dining area and bar area with used vinyl records and old musical instruments from her private collection. The intimacy brought by the old objects and the exquisite details of handmade products add a jazzy ambience and antique style to the space while advocating the sustainable concept of reuse of old objects.
